BRICS Economic Coalition Extends Membership Invitations to Six Nations
The BRICS economic coalition, consisting of emerging markets, has decided to invite six nations to join their alliance, according to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
At present, the BRICS alliance includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. However, Ramaphosa revealed in a speech posted on the X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) that Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will be extended membership invitations.
The 15th BRICS summit is currently being hosted by South Africa.
