Young Filipino boxer Kenneth Igano fought back valiantly in the boxing ring, but his mind gave out afterward, so he died in shocking news that rocked the Philippines on Wednesday as soon as it ended last week. Footage of Igano “falling” was circulated on social media, showing the moment he lost his balance while standing next to his trainer after a fierce 8-round fight ended last Saturday.

Footage from the event showed painful scenes of Igano staggering and moaning while waiting for the results before passing out and being carried out of the ring. On Thursday, his death was announced after it was determined he suffered a brain hemorrhage.
His most recent fight was as part of the Punch by Punch series sponsored by legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, part of the Philippines’ weekly boxing TV show. And Pacquiao guaranteed all the costs of the boxer’s health before announcing his death.
