British Prime Minister Liz Trace has become the subject of “memes” after her last speech at a conference of the Conservative Party, according to The Daily Mail.
According to the publication, this was caused by a blue background on a screen behind the terrace, which allowed users to easily change the image of the prime minister during the event.
First, supporters of the British opposition Labor Party posted altered images on social media, after which the trend was picked up by other netizens.
As a result, the newspaper claims, the British Prime Minister has become the object of “cruel ridicule” on the Internet. Users began to post memes about the terrace, where they appeared “grimacing” in the middle of a burning house, as well as in front of a picture of hell and a picture of the ruins of the city.
The newspaper reported that some users posted a photo of Liz Truss speaking, behind which were drawn data on the country’s economic and financial performance, which had fallen sharply during her presidency.
It is noteworthy that Liz Truss was elected chairman of the Conservative Party on 5 September.
