The US Open, which will be held in Atlantic City, is considered one of the strongest and largest billiards tournaments in the world, with 250 players competing at 32 tables, and a junior tournament will be held on the sidelines, designed to give them experience and the opportunity to watch world champions and titles. in Game.
Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation President Dr. Nasser Al Shammari welcomed the invitation received by the federation to participate in a tournament of great importance and benefit to young players, wishing the players of the national team to achieve the desired benefit, noting that the Saudi Gaming Federation is always striving to develop the performance of Saudi players in general and the young among them in particular, through training programs and preparatory camps, which ensured an increase in their level of skill, noting in this regard the desire of the Federation to participate in friendly or international tournaments that will give the Saudi player experience and contacts with international players .
Regarding the players nominated for this tournament, he explained that the federation has nominated player Faris Al Madina, one of the brightest talents in the Kingdom, especially since he has not received a single loss in the youth league for clubs, and his colleague Khaled Al- Ghamdi, who, like his colleague, has a great future ahead of him, wishes them well and achieve the maximum possible benefit, pointing out that participation in this tournament is part of the preparation of the Saudi Arabian billiards team for participation in 2022.
