US President Joe Biden’s health improved after it was confirmed on Thursday that he was infected with the Covid-19 virus, his personal physician said today, Friday, in a letter released by the White House.
“His symptoms have improved,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote, adding that the 79-year-old president had a very low temperature of 37.4 degrees on Thursday evening.
The doctor said Biden still has fatigue, a runny nose and an occasional cough.
According to Dr. O’Connor, Joe Biden received a full COVID-19 vaccination with two booster doses, so he expected the president to “respond positively” to the viral infection.
“The president is responding well to treatment,” he added, referring to Baxilovid, the Pfizer anti-Covid pill he prescribed Biden.
However, O’Connor confirmed that the Democratic president, working in isolation in the White House, also takes paracetamol and uses a bronchodilator inhaler when needed.
