Barcelona defender and Spanish Football League runner-up Clement Langler has joined Tottenham Hotspur on a one-season loan, the two clubs announced on Friday.
Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement on loan for Clement Langler until 30 June 2023,” the Catalan club said in a press statement.
And Langley became the fifth player to sign for Tottenham Hotspur under manager Antonio Conte in the current summer transfer period, following Everton’s Brazilian Richarlison and Inter Milan’s Croatian Ivan Perisic, Brighton’s Malian Yves Bisum and the goalkeeper. Southampton by Fraser Forster.
“We are delighted to announce that Clement Langler has signed a one-year loan deal with Barcelona,” Tottenham said in a statement.
Langley, 27, joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2018 for €35m and made him league champions in 2019. In 2013, he signed the first professional contract of his career with Frenchman Nancy.
And Langler failed to establish himself as a key player for Barcelona last season due to a string of mistakes.
