Saudi Arabia U-17s today beat their Maldivian counterpart 9-0 at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al Khobar in the third round of Group D of the 2023 AFC U-17 Cup Qualifiers.
With this result, Saudi Arabia led the group standings with 6 points in two matches, with a goal difference with Kuwait, compared to 3 points in one match for India, while Myanmar and the Maldives are still deprived of points.
On Friday, the fourth round of group matches will take place, where the Saudi Arabia national team will meet with Kuwait, and Myanmar with India.
Saudi Arabia beat Myanmar 6-0 and Kuwait 6-0 in the Maldives in the first round, while Kuwait beat Myanmar 1-0 and India 1-0 in the Maldives in the second round.
The team that takes first place in each group, as well as the six best teams that take second place in ten groups, advance to the final.
