Argentine star Paulo Dybala, a player for the Italian team Roma, has left the Tango team, which is currently preparing to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, due to injury.
Argentina will kick off their participation in the World Cup in Qatar by meeting Al-Akhdar in the third group of the competition, which includes Poland and Mexico.
Paulo Dybala, 28, was injured in Roma’s last match against Lecce in the Italian league.
Initial medical examinations by Argentine star Paulo Dybala confirmed that he had a rupture and needed two months of treatment and rehabilitation before returning to the stadiums again, making his chances of participating in the World Cup very slim.
Paulo Dybala wept on the bench immediately after his injury, after he felt there might be no chance of making it to the World Cup.
“Paulo Dybala is in a bad situation, not to say very bad, unfortunately if he got injured worse than in the previous period,” Roma head coach José Mourinho said in a statement during a press conference published on the official website club.
Asked about his absence at the end of the year, Mourinho said: “I’m not a doctor and I haven’t talked to a doctor, but from experience and from what I understand after talking with Paulo, it’s difficult.”
