The Organizing Committee of the Arab Cup Under-20 Championship has begun putting the finishing touches on preparations for the launch of the tournament, which will be hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Association and will take place in the city of Abha between 20 July and 6 August next.
Yesterday the draw of the tournament took place, in which 18 Arab teams participate.
According to the results of the draw, it was divided into 6 groups, each of which has 3 teams, namely:
Group A: Saudi Arabia v Mauritania v Iraq.
Second group: UAE team – Jordan team – Yemen team.
Group III: Algeria team – Lebanon team – Libya team.
Group D: Egypt, Oman, Somalia.
Group E: Team Tunisia – Team Bahrain – Team Djibouti.
Group F: Morocco team – Sudan team – Palestine team.
The draw was held in the presence of the representatives of the national teams, the tournament director Mr. Moid Al-Shehri and a number of sports media professionals from all over the Arab world.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Arabia national team is the title holder of the last Arab States Cup among youth teams under 20, which was held in the capital of Egypt, Cairo, and won the Algerian national team in the final match.
