Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, stressed the importance of raising awareness around the world about the rights of victims of terrorism and the extent of the suffering that terrorism inflicts on them and their families.
In his speech at the United Nations Global Conference on Counter Terrorism held in New York, according to a statement released today by the Arab Parliament, Al-Sumi said: The Arab Parliament is working on the preparation of a guiding Arab law in support of the victims of terrorism, pointing out the importance a key role that parliamentarians can play. To translate international resolutions relating to victims of terrorism into national law, to provide a binding legal framework to ensure and protect the rights of victims of terrorism.
