The Arab League Council held a delegate-level meeting in memory of the late President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, in which delegates from the Arab countries participated.
The Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Abdul Rahman bin Saeed Al Jumaa, said in his speech at the meeting: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – God bless them – to the country of the United Arab Emirates.
He added: “If the death of Sheikh Khalifa – may God have mercy on him – was absent, then his great achievements and labors in the political, economic and humanitarian fields in the UAE, in the Arab world and around the world will remain immortal in our memory and history, where history will remember the role of Sheikh Khalifa, along with his father, Sheikh Zayed – God have mercy – in creating the most successful Arab union in our modern history.
He noted that the initiatives and achievements of Sheikh Khalifa – may God have mercy on him – in building the UAE and strengthening its political and economic positions at the regional and international levels are an example to follow in the history of peoples and nations.
The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom also congratulated the people of the Emirates and their government on the assumption of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed as President of the UAE.
Al-Tawadi: Implement an ambitious strategic plan
