Arab League holds emergency meeting today to address Sudan’s recent developments.

Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, said that it was decided to hold an emergency meeting of the League Council at the level of permanent delegates today, Sunday, under the chairmanship of Egypt, to discuss developments in the situation in Sudan. Ambassador Zaki made it clear in his statement that the meeting was held at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
