Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit condemned yesterday’s “Turkish attack” on a tourist resort in the Iraqi city of Dohuk.
The League of Arab States also called on Turkey to observe the principle of good neighborliness and refrain from conducting any military operations inside the Arab countries under any pretext.
The Arab Parliament also condemned Turkey’s attack on Dahuk and affirmed in a statement yesterday that “this attack represents a flagrant violation of all international conventions and norms, as well as a flagrant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and the principles and rules of good neighborliness.”
The Arab Parliament also stressed its solidarity and full support for the Republic of Iraq in all the measures it takes to protect its citizens and lands and defend its sovereignty, calling on Turkey to “stop these hostile acts and respect the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq.” Iraq throughout its territory and uphold the principle of good neighborliness.”
He expressed sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims and wished a speedy recovery to all the victims.
