Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti warned Liverpool star Mohamed Salah ahead of the two teams’ match in the Champions League final, indicating that his club was looking for a rematch that was older than the Egyptian star.
Salah said after Liverpool reached the final that he wanted to face Real Madrid instead of Manchester City for personal reasons, referring to his team’s loss in the final of the 2017-2018 version and then the Egyptian star left the match because of his engagement with Sergio Ramos.
Moments after Real Madrid reached the final on Manchester City’s account, the 29-year-old tweeted: “We have a result to settle”, adding to Sky Sports: “If you ask everyone in Liverpool, they want this match. Real Madrid.
On Tuesday, Ancelotti said in response to Salah’s talk of a rematch: “Real Madrid are also looking for a rematch, having lost the final in 1981 against Liverpool and in Paris in particular, this could also be the motivation for us to win the championship.
Alan Kennedy scored at that time the goal of the red team’s victory over Real Madrid, 11 years before the date of birth of the Egyptian star, which was released on June 15, 1992.
