Recently, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck west of Latakia, according to the National Seismological Center of Syria. in the morning and was recorded by the stations of the National Seismological Monitoring Network.
As a result, the US Treasury Department announced a “temporary” suspension of sanctions on Syria to allow efforts to deal with the aftermath of last Monday’s earthquake.
