Al Taawon Club announced yesterday, Tuesday, that its player Abdul Malik Al-Ayeri suffered a complete cruciate ligament tear after he was injured in Al Hilal’s last meeting in the fifth round of the league, which ended Al-Taawun won with a score of 2:1.
According to Al-Taawun’s Twitter account, “Medical examinations conducted by player Abdul Malik Al-Ayiri showed that there was a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee, requiring surgical intervention.”
Medical examinations by Brazilian professional Flavio Da Silva, a Taawon team professional, also revealed a complete tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee, requiring surgery.
Flavio also did not participate in the match against Al-Hilal due to injury after he fell without making contact with anyone.
