Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi expressed the Arab Parliament’s satisfaction with the results of the Jeddah Summit on Security and Development, organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and the United States of America.
In a press statement released tonight, Al-Sumi stressed the importance of this summit in strengthening relations between the Arab countries and the United States of America and opening up new horizons of coordination and joint cooperation to meet the security and economic challenges that the Arab region has witnessed in order to maintain security and stability in the region and ensure a better future for current and future generations.
Al-Sumi expressed the full support of the Arab Parliament for all Arab and international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region, noting that the holding of a summit called “Security and Development” reflects the delicate situation in which the region finds itself and its urgent need. to achieve security and stability, while at the same time advancing development efforts, especially in light of the current global economic crisis and its interrelated implications for the Arab countries.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament praised the content of the speeches of the leaders and representatives of the Arab countries at this summit, which made it possible to accurately diagnose the crises experienced by the region and the challenges it faces.
He stressed that the vocabulary of the final statement of the summit includes many topical issues of security and development, expressing the desire of the Arab Parliament to ensure that the results of this summit contribute to the development of non-traditional solutions to the interrelated problems facing the Arab region. .
