Ibrahim Al Qasem, secretary general of the Saudi Football Association, confirmed that 5,000 fans will be transferred to Qatar to support Al Akhdar in the 2022 World Cup, noting that the House of Saudi Arabia will be one of the events in the World Cup.
Ibrahim al-Qasim said in statements, especially on the Action with Waleed and Neighbor program: “We draw enthusiasm and passion from our wise leadership and this is the biggest support for us and we will not look at what we have lost or lost yesterday or today, but we must always move forward, so we looked ahead and this will allow us to contribute to the realization of a wise vision.”
He added: “We have 5,000 fans in the national team league who will be transferred to Qatar. Fans were selected from 172 clubs and their number was equal to the number of clubs in each tier in terms of fans drawn from those clubs.”
Al-Qasim continued: “The World Cup is not the same as it was 70 years ago, and it is no longer just a football tournament, but a cultural and social event, and the House of Saudi Arabia is one of our events in the world. A cup.”
He added: “We launched the ticketing option through the Kadam app in coordination with FIFA to encourage fans to come to Qatar, which allows you to buy tickets for matches, flights and attendance at various events accompanying the World Cup in Qatar. , and the mechanism for choosing fans will be from club links.
Al-Qasem continued by saying: “We have made sure that our participation in the World Cup will be both inside and outside the stadium, and the Saudi house will be on the Doha waterfront and will be accessible to everyone to represent the Kingdom and its identity. , and it can receive 8,000 visitors a day.”
He concluded: “The national team’s participation in the World Cup qualifiers was the best in its history, and we hope that both our participation will be the best and we have chosen our current camp before the qualifiers even begin.”
