Al Wahda Club management has begun preparations for the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup by announcing the first deals to support the team during the upcoming summer Mercato.
The Al Wahda team returned to the professional league after finishing third in the First Grade Yellow League behind Al Khalij and Al Adal after a season spent in the first division.
Yesterday, on Friday, the Al Wahda club officially announced the signing of a contract with the goalkeeper of the Moroccan national team Munir Al Mohammadi for two seasons until 2024.
The defender of the national team’s lair starts his career at the Al Wahda club from the next football season, after the latter reached a final agreement with the officials of the Turkish club Hatay Sport to be included in the Al Mohammadi squad.
Hatayspor announced the departure of goalkeeper Munir Al-Mohammadi in an official statement following the expiration of his contract and his unwillingness to renew it for a new season with the Turkish club.
Al Wahda’s contract with Al Mohammadi will only cost the player’s fees as his transfer is on a free transfer deal.
It is worth noting that Al-Mohammadi played in many clubs, including Numancia, Spanish Malaga and Turkish Hatay Sport, before moving to Al Wahda.
Division management are keen to keep Spanish defender Alberto Botia, who remained in the squad despite his relegation last season to the first division, as the unitary division’s administration plans to bring loaned Anselmo back to victory, as well as reinstatement of Australian Craig Godwin on loan to Australian club Adelaide United.
