His Excellency Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, affirmed that the Cooperation Council is a pillar of security and stability and a pioneer of comprehensive development. He does not accept dictates or interfere in internal affairs, and he will work to protect gains, maintain security and stability, and move forward with confidence and ambition.
Today, during his visit to the headquarters of the College of Command and Joint Staff. Mubarak al-Abdullah in the State of Kuwait in the Al-Mubarakiya camp, he emphasized the central importance of the Cooperation Council and its key role in light of the changes and polarization taking place in the country. the world is watching, emphasizing that the Cooperation Council will work in the interests of its countries and citizens and strengthen its strategic partnership in the political, military and economic fields.
He said: “The world is living in an unprecedented phase of uncertainty and lack of clarity, caused by the coronavirus pandemic and exacerbated by the political crises, military conflicts, economic problems and regional conflicts that we are experiencing today, which greatly confirms the world’s need for a voice of wisdom, stability, balance and Development, which represents the principles of the Cooperation Council and works to strengthen them and mobilize efforts around it, as an active partner at all international and regional levels and forums.
His Excellency noted that today the world is in dire need of promoting universal human values, the principles of tolerance, respect for human rights and multiculturalism, protecting the value system and the family, and rejecting extremism and terrorism, which are the main pillars of holiness through the course of the Cooperation Council, based on the requirements of true rights, customs and traditions, the requirements of international law, coexistence and world peace. Everyone has mutual respect, protection and preservation for the sake of humanity, its prosperity and stability.
He reviewed the achievements of the Cooperation Council over the past four decades, the most important milestones and its contribution in the light of regional and international changes, recalling the practical steps taken by the GCC countries to support their collective security.
His Excellency underlined the elements of complementary strength that the GCC states have that enable the Council to enhance its pioneering and developmental role to achieve comprehensive development while maintaining the Council’s regional and international status and its pioneering role in promoting regional peace and security, working towards stability region and that it is an important factor in the security and peace of the world.
He touched upon the directions of joint action and work of the Gulf countries to implement the decisions of the Supreme Council and complete the implementation of the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which requires focusing on the completion of the customs union and the common market of the Gulf, with a focus on the requirements of the fourth industrial revolution and artificial intelligence, increasing cyber security, protecting society and youth, and promoting a positive media message. With an emphasis on the continuity of the GCC countries’ investment in education and human capital as one of the most important pillars of GCC integration, he also stressed the need to build strategic relationships with countries and international and regional groups to strengthen the strategic position of the Council in order to serve its interests and maintain its security and stability.
Al-Hajraf concluded the lecture with the need to invest in the future, rely on constants and work to strengthen the leadership position of the Cooperation Council in implementing the directives of the leaders of the GCC countries.
