His Excellency Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Professor Jassim Muhammad al-Budaiwi strongly condemned and exposed the settlers who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupying forces. His Excellency emphasized that the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the blessed month of Ramadan is a dangerous escalation and provocation of the feelings of the Muslims of the world. Unanimously, this is contrary to international principles and norms regarding religious shrines, and is also a flagrant violation of international law, decisions of international legality, and historic agreements regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the international community to take urgent action to put an end to these violations, and to redouble efforts to advance the peace process, emphasizing the position of the Cooperation Council on the Palestinian cause as the root cause of Arabs and Muslims and supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the borders of June 4, 1967 AD with East Jerusalem as its capital.
