Chairman of the Yemeni Governing Council Rashad Al Alimi expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – Yes God bless them for their generous hosting of this summit and their efforts. In his address to the Arab League’s High Level Council, Regular Session (32), Arab Action with Legitimacy Coalition countries to support the Yemeni government’s efforts to revive the economy and improve basic services, expanded relief humanitarian interventions, and brothers and friends to restart the political process in line with the references to the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcome of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference and the relevant Security Council resolutions, especially resolution (2216).
The President of the Yemeni Leadership Council commended the efforts of the member states and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, which led to the resumption of the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic in the meetings of the Council of the League on the way to resolve the Syrian crisis in a way that guarantees the unity and security of the sister country and restores its historical role in joint Arab action.
He commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, which culminated in the signing by the Sudanese brothers of the declaration of principles for humanitarian action and the protection of civilians in preparation for constructive negotiations aimed at restoring stability, peace and development.
He reaffirmed the full commitment of the Republic of Yemen to support the right of the Palestinian people to establish their own independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international resolutions and legislation.
At the end of his speech, he expressed his sincere wishes for the success of this summit under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – God bless them – that , he is sure, will be an additional step in the direction of action.
