The Saudi fencing team won the bronze medal in this category for the first time in the history of Saudi fencing at the Asian Under-23 Championships, which is currently taking place in Kuwait.
The Saudi Greens were represented by Jawad Al-Daoud, Omar Al-Akkas, Nawaf Al-Khalidi and Hussein Al-Tawil, as well as Mohamed Fouad, coach, and Maher Shoru, coach of the national team.
Green fencing beat Iran in the quarter-finals 45-39 and won the bronze medal after losing to Kazakhstan.
