The Boys’ School Football League continues into its third edition on the playing fields of schools across the Kingdom’s regions and governorates, with over 149,000 players representing 15,384 elementary, secondary and secondary school teams.
The Technical Committee is working to track and monitor outstanding football talent in school league matches according to field electronic monitoring, in addition to daily monitoring of information and figures for all league matches for all levels of education.
The School League project, implemented by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, attracts the attention of parents of students participating in school teams.
Khaled Al Habib, head of education for physical education at the Riyadh Department of Education, confirmed that the current version of the School League witnessed a large turnout from Riyadh’s educational schools after recording the highest number among education departments in the Kingdom, with numbers from more than 12,000 players, showing that the Riyadh School of Education is replete with sports talent in various games, as it is one of the tributaries of the Kingdom’s teams.
Al Habib praised the diversity of sports for boys and girls this year following the previous success of the school football league, which will help build a healthy sports community that achieves the goals of the ministries of sports and education stemming from Vision 2030.
Qualification courses for refereeing football matches were held for female teachers in cooperation between the Organizing Committee of the School League and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, where three “distance” courses were held, involving 932 female teachers, and one course is yet to be conducted. later, and each of the accredited lecturers from the Saudi Federation attended. For football, Marey Al-Awaji, Badr Al-Enezi and Abdul-Razzaq Al-Mahawi, to qualify the female referees for the Women’s Football League, whose competition will take place later this year.
