According to authorities, two people died as a result of the crash of their single-engine plane in a residential area of the city of Bursa in northwestern Turkey.
The governor of Bursa, Jakub Jumblatt, said that two people who were on the plane died as a result of the accident, stressing that there were no casualties among the residents of the area.
The governor explained that the two dead were “a trained pilot and a pilot in training, and according to preliminary information, there were no casualties.”
Private television station NTV broadcast live scenes of the plane shortly after it crashed, in which thick red flames appeared, topped by a thick black cloud rising from the street.
