The Arab Parliament condemned Israel’s attempts and plans to dismantle the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, UNRWA, emphasizing its total rejection of compromising UNRWA’s responsibility and competence towards Palestinian refugees in order to find a just solution to the problem Palestinian refugees in accordance with resolutions that have international legality.
In a statement today, the Arab Parliament reaffirmed its absolute support for UNRWA to continue to play its role in providing basic and essential services to Palestinian refugees, as it is the only mechanism that fulfills this important humanitarian duty to improve the living conditions of Palestinians in the Palestinian territories.
The Arab Parliament called on the international community to take responsibility for the Palestinian refugees through the provision of aid and funding; Enable UNRWA to continue its work, emphasizing the need for UNRWA to fulfill its social obligations towards refugees, as well as its political and legal obligations to ensure their rights and those of their host countries.
