Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in memory of Soviet soldiers killed in the Great Patriotic War during his visit to Moscow on Wednesday.
Bolsonaro is making his first official visit to Moscow since he was elected President of Brazil in 2018.
Bolsonaro will meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on Wednesday. The two leaders are expected to meet on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and develop cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and science, and exchange views on the most important international issues.
Bolsonaro, who will meet with State Duma President Vyacheslav Volodin after his meetings with Putin, will then attend a meeting with Russian and Brazilian businessmen in the fields of agriculture, atomic energy, gas and fertilizer. Within the scope of the visit, the first meeting of the foreign and defense ministers of the two countries will be held in the “2+2” format.
