During the third week of April 2022, the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief “Masam” managed to clear 1,550 mines laid by Houthis in various parts of Yemen, including 1,050 anti-tank mines and 500 unexploded ordnance.
Masam’s team was able to clear 119 anti-tank mines and 85 UXO in the Qataba area of Al-Dali governorate, as well as 43 anti-tank mines and 43 UXO in the Hayes area of Hodeidah governorate, as well as 212 anti-tank mines. and 39 unexploded ordnance in the Kharib area of Hodeidah Governorate.
In Shabwa province, the Masam team cleared 274 anti-tank mines and 190 UXO in the Ain area, 115 anti-tank mines and 20 UXO in the Usailan area. The team also cleared 287 anti-tank mines and 123 unexploded ordnance in the Dabab area. Taiz province.
Thus, the number of mines cleared so far during April has reached 4,523 mines, bringing the number of mines cleared since the start of the Masam project to 33460 mines, which have been indiscriminately placed by the Houthi militias in all parts of Yemen to demand more innocent victims of children, women, and the elderly, while continuing the Kingdom represented by the King Salman Relief Center through the Yemeni landmine clearing project and helping Yemeni brothers live a decent life.
