The Arab Parliament saw the swearing in of the President and members of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council as a landmark step and a real start that will bring security and stability and end the protracted Yemeni crisis.
In a statement today, the Arab Parliament reaffirmed its solidarity and full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and supporting organizations after taking the constitutional oath before the Yemeni Parliament at its session held in the provisional capital of Aden under the chairmanship of Council Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani and in the presence of heads and cabinet members ministers, the Shura Council, the Supreme Judiciary, the High Electoral Commission and the Military Affairs Committee.
He expressed his desire to end the Yemeni crisis in line with the references provided by the Gulf Initiative, the results of the Comprehensive Yemeni National Dialogue and Security Council Resolution No. (2216), emphasizing his firm position and support for efforts towards a peaceful solution in a manner that guarantees the unity and territorial integrity Yemen and meet the aspirations of its people for security, peace and stability, and be reliable About the role of the council in restoring the state, peace and stability, resolving the economic and living situation and rebuilding its institutions.
The Arab Parliament also wished the Presidential Leadership Council led by Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi and its members every success in fulfilling their national responsibilities, especially at this critical juncture in serving Yemen and its people.
