Pakistan’s state television announced that the country’s new government was sworn in at a ceremony on Tuesday, more than a week after the Pakistani parliament elected Shahbaz Sharif as prime minister.
Last Monday, the lower house of the Pakistani parliament elected Shahbaz Sharif as the successor to ousted Prime Minister Imran.
This was announced by Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Ayaz Sadiq, who reported that Sharif received the votes of 174 deputies out of 342 members.
