They discussed the most important regional and global developments in refugee affairs and presented global displacement trends that have reached record levels, as well as topics of mutual interest to the two parties that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals for refugee beneficiaries around the world. world.
Khaled Khalifa commended the development and humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the past years, pointing to the depth of the relationship between the Saudi Development Fund and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, expanding over a decade and bringing benefits over five million refugees around the world. He stressed that this joint collaboration has eased the suffering in humanitarian asylum conditions and has changed the lives of forcibly displaced families in light of the growing need and humanitarian crises that have been going on for years.
