Five people were injured in a mosque shooting on Saturday in the Toronto area of Canada, according to police.
A group of men who completed midnight prayers during the holy month of Ramadan was randomly attacked in a drive-shooting in Scarborough County, Toronto Police Department spokesman David Ridzik said.
At least six shots were fired but how many suspects were involved in the shooting remains unknown.
“We can’t tell if the victims were targeted because of their religious beliefs,” Rydzik said.
Meanwhile, Nadeem Sheikh, board member of The Scarborough Muslim Association, stated that he was concerned about the shooting.
He urged the authorities to act best to bring the perpetrators to the authorities and said more steps should be taken against gun violence reins.
