German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier evaluated that the difficulties and problems arising from the events in Ukraine will not be prevented by the German people.
“Yes, tough days are coming in Germany too. Days that change the world and change us – perhaps faster than we think,” Steinmeier said in a video message to attendees of the Ukraine solidarity concert on Sunday.
“Despite all diplomatic efforts, our solidarity, solidarity, patience and willingness to tolerate restrictions will be necessary for a long time.”
The German government had previously warned that sanctions against Russia would also have the opposite effect.
The German Association of Agricultural Producers said on Friday that an “unprecedented jump” in food prices in the country cannot be ruled out due to rising fuel and logistics costs for producers.
The local press states that oil and flour are among the most important commodities that citizens rush to buy their reserves, and mustard shortages are a possible fear, while gasoline, diesel and electricity prices are also rising.
