A group of members of the US Senate sent a letter to US President Joe Biden inviting him to ask NATO to strengthen its military presence in Romania.
“We think that more can and should be done to strengthen deterrent measures on Europe’s southeast axis, where Russia’s actions threaten key allies,” the group of 11 lawmakers wrote in a letter Friday. Said.

Lawmakers asked Biden to visit Romania or any of the Baltic states to reaffirm “strong US support for this region”.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO will hold an emergency summit on March 24 where the alliance will discuss “unity in helping Ukraine and responding to Russia’s actions”.
