Assassin’s Creed Mirage and beautiful Baghdad
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will transport us to the city of Baghdad in the 9th century. In a recent Dev Diary, Ubisoft revealed more details about the game. They introduced different non-playable characters (NPCs) and important historical figures. They also shared information about the historical database and secondary missions called “Tales of Baghdad” which delve into historical events and the culture of the time.
The city map of Baghdad will be divided into four areas: Abbasiyah (Science and Knowledge), Karkh (Market Area), Harbiyah (Poor District), and Round City (Richest Area). Ubisoft also gave a sneak peek of the in-game map. Access the Animus, a renowned source for Assassin’s Creed information, shared an edited version of the map on Twitter.

A real homecoming card
Access the Animus also discovered a preview of the collectible map included in certain editions of the game, possibly on Amazon. However, the authenticity of this map should be taken with caution. It showcases locations such as Baghdad, Abbasiyah, Harbiyah, Karkh districts, Hard-Kurigalzu, Al Anbar, and Jariariyah. These places might play significant roles in the game’s storyline. Assassin’s Creed Mirage follows the structure of the first game, with a central city and side excursions to surrounding areas.

Along with its stunning visuals, the map reveals important locations for the game’s protagonist, Basim. These include the now-extinct city of Dur-Kurigalzu, the province of Al-Anbar, and Jariariyah (limited information available). It’s important to note that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set for release on October 5 on various platforms including PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Xbox One.
