Apple Pay was first rumored to be coming to Vietnam in July. Since then, many institutions have been working hard to develop the infrastructure to support the payments service. iPhone and Apple Watch owners in Vietnam who shop at stores that support Apple Pay’s contactless payment capabilities can use their devices to make purchases without manually entering their payment information. According to a support page that was discovered to be leaked, Techcombank has plans to support Apple Pay.
Accessible Locations for Apple Pay in Vietnam
Apple Pay will be accessible at various locations, including WinMart, Phuc Long, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Highlands Coffee, and CGV Cinemas. Because of the prevalence of using QR codes as a payment method in Vietnam, it will be interesting to observe how Apple Pay stacks up against its competitors.
