EA’s College Football Game Making “Incredible Progress” According to CEO
During Electronic Arts’ quarterly earnings call, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of the company, revealed that their upcoming College Football game is making significant strides. Although no release date has been announced yet, Wilson shared exciting updates about the game’s development.
When asked about the progress of the game, Wilson confirmed that EA has obtained licenses for “many if not most” of the schools involved. Additionally, he expressed satisfaction with the core gameplay, stating that it is “really coming together.”
Wilson praised the team’s efforts in building a game that truly captures the essence of College Football, with all its pageantry and unique aspects compared to the NFL. He expressed confidence in the team’s work and their commitment to delivering an exceptional gaming experience. Currently, EA is actively working on obtaining licensing agreements with various schools and is engaged with governing bodies and key third-party partners to include college athletes in the game.

EA’s previous college football games were published between 1993 and 2013, with the latest announcement made in early 2021.
