Sensor Tower CEO Anthony Bartolacchi commented that the first three days of Threads were special, but they didn’t last. As the site has tracked a significant decrease in user interaction.
Update and Features
This comes at a time when Meta, the company that owns the app, is updating Threads for iPhone with a number of new features, according to app developer Cameron Roth, including translation and a dedicated follow tab in the activity feed that shows posts from users you follow.
Competition and Criticism
“Meta” CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced the launch of the platform linked to the “Instagram” platform, while this was considered a competition for the “Twitter” platform owned by billionaire Elon Musk, who himself repeatedly criticized “Threads”, and felt that Zuckerberg had “copied” the idea of “Twitter”.
