Battlestate Games Unveils 2023 Roadmap for Tarkov
Battlestate Games has recently gone on a social media frenzy, unveiling planned modifications, quality-of-life enhancements, new weapons, and, most crucially, a 2023 roadmap for Tarkov wrapped up in a series of Tarkov updates. It has been a wonderful day for fans worldwide, as this preview of new material has revealed a great deal that the community has been anticipating for quite some time now.
Tarkov Wipe and Roadmap
It was disclosed in the roadmap that the next Tarkov wipe would take place in August; now, rumors are flying about that it will be implemented on the 28th of the month. It was also established that the wipe that will follow that one will take place in December, as we had come to anticipate.
What’s Going to Be Included in the Next Update for Tarkov?
The enticing roadmap provides players with a wealth of information about upcoming content, which they will quickly get their hands on. Even before the next server wipe, there will be a significant amount of content added to Escape From Tarkov, as revealed by Battlestate Games, which includes the following:
- Loadout presets
- Randomised container spawns
- Enhancements to the healing menu
- Streets expansion
- New weapons: SVT, PKM, AK-12, Sawed-Off, PM Pistol
- New Boss – Kaban

Along with the announcement of this new content, Battlestate also revealed that there would be many modifications to the game’s balancing, recoil mechanics, the behavior of AI, and trading. The hideout is also undergoing several kinds of improvements right now.
But it doesn’t end there.
Upcoming Updates
Between August and December, following the next Tarkov wipe, we’ll be getting:
- Armour customization (plates)
- Vaulting
- Mounting of weapons
- BTR on Streets
- Lightkeeper Trader
- ‘Shoulder-swapping’
- New weapons: RPD, SCAR GL, SIG Spear, 9A91, VSK-94
- New Boss
- Achievement System
And as if that were not enough, it was also claimed that, as time went on, Battlestate would continue to work on the new Unity upgrade, client performance, anti-cheat systems enhancement, and an entirely new matchmaking platform.
