New rather than remakes?
For some years, the Persona saga has established itself as one of the essential franchises of Japanese role-playing games, in other words the J-RPG. With the box of Persona 5 and its augmented edition Persona 5 Royale, its developer, Atlus, decided to capitalize on its popularity. We were treated to many spin-offs (Persona 5 Strikers, Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight, Persona 5 Tactica…) but also to remasters of old episodes (Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden). Recently, we even learned that a remake of the third episode was in the pipeline with Persona 3 Reload. However, it would be the last such project for quite a while for the franchise according to leaker.
The player rumor comes to us from a Twitter user better known as Midori. In the past, the latter had revealed the existence of Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica before their official announcement during the Xbox Games Showcase, which testifies to its reliability. Today, he returns with important information about the future of the franchise:
Atlus isn’t working on any other remakes like P3RE right now, so you won’t see questions about it in polls.
There are four Persona games in development right now. But all efforts are focused on (Persona) 6.

When will Persona 6 be announced?
If Persona 5 Tactica is the next episode of the saga to be released, Persona 3 Reload should follow it in the wake of early 2024. This is an important project for the franchise because it allows to bring up to date a founding opus may be known to the general public. However, the existence of Persona 6 is becoming more and more pressing in the rumors around the license and we wonder when Atlus will decide to announce it officially.
