Reduced Manufacturing Goals for Apple’s Vision Pro
Recent reports have suggested that Apple has dramatically reduced its manufacturing goals for the Vision Pro, its long-awaited mixed-reality headset. These reports surfaced just lately.
The headgear’s price, announced in June during the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference, would be $3,499 when it releases in the United States in the early years of 2024.
Availability of Vision Pro and Reduced Sales Target
Vision Pro, which Apple refers to as the company’s “first spatial computer,” would be made available in additional countries later in the year following its initial launch.
According to a claim published in the Financial Times, Apple previously set an internal sales target of one million units during the first year that the Vision Pro was available to consumers.
It has been reported that this has decreased due to the complexity of the headset design and the challenges encountered during manufacturing.
According to two individuals who are supposed to have deep ties to Apple and Luxshare, the Chinese company presently believed to be the lone assembler of the headset, preparations are being made to produce fewer than 400,000 units in the upcoming year.
