Jordanian Army Shoots Down Drug-Laden Drone from Syria
The Jordanian army announced on Tuesday that it had shot down a drug-laden drone launched from Syria. The drone was attempting to cross the border illegally from Syrian territory to Jordanian territory.
Attempted Drone Passage
A statement on the official website of the Jordanian army, citing an official source, said: “The border forces, in coordination with the military security service of the service and the Department of Drug Enforcement, recorded an attempted passage of a drone.”
Seized Items
After the drone was shot down, it was found to be carrying 500 grams of crystal meth. The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities.

In a statement, the Jordanian army quotes a source: “The Jordanian armed forces continue to fight with all force and firmness against any threat on the frontier fronts and against any effort aimed at undermining and destabilizing the homeland’s security and intimidating its citizens.”
