South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol called US President Joe Biden as his first official act after being elected president in the 20th presidential election.
The main opposition People’s Power Party said the phone call between Yun and Biden took place at 9:40 a.m. (local time), shortly after Yun made his acceptance statements.
Yoon was scheduled to visit the National Cemetery in Seoul at 10 a.m. this morning, but was delayed due to a meeting with Biden.
Yun had planned to call Biden on the 11th of this month, but the call took place today at the request of the US side.
