Jeddah hosts talks on Sudan with Qatar’s welcome

The State of Qatar welcomed the joint announcement by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America to launch preliminary talks between representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in the city of Jeddah. – in a statement – today Qatar’s desire to pave the way with this step for a permanent and comprehensive end to the military conflict, and then enter into broad negotiations involving all Sudanese political forces, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive agreement and a sustainable peace that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people for stability, development and prosperity.
