Athletic Bilbao failed to catch up with the qualifying spots for European competition, settling for a 1-1 draw against their hosts Real Mallorca in matchday 32 of the Spanish Football League on Monday.
Things nearly got worse for Bilbao when he equalized in the sixth minute of stoppage time, scoring a penalty from Ghana’s Inaki Williams after South Korean Kang-Ying opened the scoring for Mallorca in the 58th minute.
This is the second match in a row without a victory for Bilbao after losing to Sevilla in the last stage.
The Basque club raised their tally to 47 points in seventh place, two points behind Real Betis VI in the final qualifying positions for the continental competition.
For their part, Mallorca raised their score to 41 points in eleventh place.
Later, Seville XII will play with his guest Girona X at the end of the scene.
