The Arab Committee for Human Rights (Statutory Committee) elected Councilor Jaber al-Marri of the State of Qatar as its Chairman for a second term of two years. Councilor Abd al-Rahman al-Shubraki of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was also elected Vice Chairman for a two-year term at the 59th meeting held by the committee today in the presence of all members.
Members of the Committee thanked Ambassador Nadia Javon for her tireless efforts during her tenure as Vice Chair of the Committee over the past two years.
It is noteworthy that the adviser Abd al-Rahman al-Shabraki was a member of the committee from 03/04/2017 for the first term ending 04/02/2021, and was elected for the second term, which began 04/04/2021. 03/03/2021, and from 04/08/2019 to 2021, he took the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee. /4/28.
