A number of experts and specialists considered that the letter of thanks received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – God bless him – from the President of the World Bank reflects the appreciation and authority enjoyed by wise leadership – God bless him – at the level of international organizations and increased awareness of the international community on the leading role of the Kingdom at the regional and global levels.
Noting that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince—God bless them—and their continued implementation have had a major impact on the success of the Kingdom’s efforts to evacuate World Bank staff and nationals stranded in Sudan and ensure their safe arrival in Kingdom, and then to their own countries.

The Kingdom has carried out an evacuation from Sudan as a result of the ongoing armed conflict, and so far, about (356) people have participated in the evacuation process, including (101) Saudi Arabian citizens and (255) people belonging to (26) nationalities, and this task carried out by the Royal Saudi Navy with the support of various branches of the armed forces, and the operation included ensuring the departure of stranded citizens and nationals of various countries from Khartoum to the port of Port Sudan and their transportation through Saudi ships to the Kingdom in response to requests from international organizations and fraternal and friendly countries to evacuate their citizens from Sudan; This confirms the internationally influential role of the Kingdom as a reliable partner of the international community.
The Kingdom’s evacuation efforts have received widespread recognition and gratitude from the diplomatic missions, the international community and the countries that the Kingdom has facilitated the evacuation of its citizens Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect them both, for the contribution of the Kingdom’s government to evacuation of British citizens arriving from Sudan.
The Consul General of the United States of America in Jeddah, Fares Asaad, also praised the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts in various aspects and its desire to provide assistance and support to friendly countries, expressing gratitude to all parties in the Kingdom for the warm welcome. American citizens and facilitating their procedures from the moment of departure to the arrival in the territory of Saudi Arabia.
In turn, the Consul of Libya in Jeddah, Abdul Razzak Al-Manfi, highly appreciated the great role of the Kingdom, and the great efforts made by all state bodies to provide all possible support to the Libyans.
Iraqi Deputy Consul Maya Hadi praised the efforts of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, stressing that it is not surprising that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lends a helping hand and helps anyone from any country.
