The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is one of the news the gaming community is looking forward to hearing the most. The most recent rumors indicate a revelation at this year’s E3 expo, which isn’t going to happen now for obvious reasons… It has been teased, rumored, and hinted at for years, with the most recent claims pointing to a reveal at this year’s E3 expo.
However, a few hours earlier, the voice actor and vocalist extraordinaire Donna Burke released a telling Tweet. The message depicted the performer herself holding an image of a cat wearing an eyepatch and sporting a horn, with the caption ‘Snake Eater’ written underneath it.
It was subsequently disclosed that she was almost certainly working on a new rendition of the Metal Gear Solid 3 theme while she was at the recording studio.
Is There Going to Be an Announcement Regarding the MGS3 Remake Soon?
This would not be the first time Donna Burke has provided Konami with her poetic talents for use in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. This specific music would be one of those instances. Burke contributed a cover of Snake Eater, the classic theme from Metal Gear Solid 3, with a 1980s theme in preparation for the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Now, she is back in the studio, working on what may be a fresh version of the same track she was working on before.
And, of course, it is being asserted that she would only be doing it for the remade version of the Metal Gear Solid 3 game.

If the picture of Donna Burke clutching a Big Boss-themed cat picture with the headline ‘Snake Eater’ wasn’t enough to convince you, one user with sharp eyes went a step further and investigated the matter further. Additional photos of the studio were provided in the subsequent images, including one that depicted someone seated at a desk and examining something displayed on a computer screen.
There were pieces of paper resting on that desk.
The lyrics to Snake Eater, the essential song, were written on those pieces of paper.
According to a piece published by TheGamer and cited by a source from within the company, it was reported some time ago that the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake would be released in 2024. If what you say is accurate, then it makes sense that Konami would be lining its ducks (or snakes) up in anticipation of making an announcement.
In recent weeks and months, remakes have been doing exceptionally well commercially, notably those based on Resident Evil and Dead Space. The PC version of The Last of Us: Part I was released. Because that was such a catastrophic failure, we can only say with certainty that some of these remakes would be successful. Still, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 very certainly would.
It can’t help but happen. It’s my favorite Metal Gear game of all time and definitely in my top five all-time favorites.
Let’s hold off judgment till we see if Donna Burke’s Tweets are taken down.
