The $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass bargain has been discontinued, according to a confirmation provided by Microsoft. Following the publication of the preliminary reports on Sunday, the confirmation was made today.
"We have stopped our previous introductory offer for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass and are evaluating different marketing promotions for new members," the company said in a statement by The Verge.
"We are also evaluating different marketing promotions for existing members," the statement continued.
Players could subscribe to either Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass for the low price of one dollar per month during the trial period. Following the expiration of that month, the membership fee would increase to the usual $14.99.
Currently, no discount plans are available for either the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or the PC Game Pass service. You will be charged the same amount for a yearlong subscription regardless of whether you pay month-to-month or annually.
Microsoft is currently developing the Friends & Family plan for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate; however, there has yet to be an announcement on a release date for this plan in the United States or the United Kingdom.
