The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaivi, met today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Fawzi Kabbara. During the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between the Gulf States and Lebanon in a way that would serve interests. They also reviewed the relationship between the Cooperation Council and Lebanon. , as well as ways to support and strengthen them in various fields, confirming what was said in the statement of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf at its 43rd session (December 2022 AD) regarding the position of the Cooperation Council with the fraternal the Lebanese people and their unwavering support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, security and stability.
Recent developments and issues of common interest in the regional and international arenas were also reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs and Negotiations of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al Awaisik.
